Your Project. Our Purpose.
I didn't have a roadmap. That's why I became one.
Everyone has a purpose. Sometimes all they need is a roadmap... and someone who believes in them.
Nearly 30 years helping students, families, educators, and schools discover purpose, navigate opportunity, and unlock what's possible.

What many people don't know is that I almost didn't go to college myself.
Growing up, no one in my family had gone to college.
I still remember standing in our kitchen during my senior year of high school when my mom asked, "So...are you going to college?"
My answer?
"I don't know. I haven't really thought about it."
At the time, I thought becoming a Laker Girl. It made so much sense to me because I was the Captain of the Cheerleading Team in High School, so why not? I even suggested dolphin trainer at SeaWorld. It sounded like a great plan. (The irony? I couldn't even swim.)
The truth was, my mom and I were navigating the college process together. There was no Google, no Common App, and I had never heard of FAFSA. We didn't know where to begin.
Somehow, I applied to two colleges and was accepted to both. But once the excitement settled, reality hit.
How were we going to pay for it?
That question changed everything.
I began my college journey at Mt. San Antonio College, transferred to Cal Poly Pomona, and what started as "I'll teach for three years" has become a career spanning nearly three decades.
Today, I'm proud to combine that experience with a passion for helping others navigate the journey I once struggled to understand.
Through Projects With a Purpose, I work with students, families, schools, and organizations to help them discover opportunities, tell their stories, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.
